Individual Therapy Sessions

 

Therapeutic interventions are designed to assist individuals, couples and families to learn strategies to cope better in difficult situations. After an initial session, individual therapy sessions are often recommended.

Therapy is provided to individuals who have been diagnosed with or exhibit symptoms of:

​

  • Neurodevelopmental Disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Generalised anxiety

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) 

  • Depression

  • Carer and partner burnout and distress

  • Problem Eating 

  • Grief and loss

What is CBT?

What is a clinical psychologist?

Clinical psychologists are specialists trained in providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health psychological problems. Clinical psychologists work within a scientist-practitioner model and provide evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for a variety of complex behavioural, emotional, social and psychological conditions. Clinical psychologists have usually completed a minimum of six years full-time university training.
