Group Therapy

We are a provider of the
group program.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a small group to participate in an exciting new group therapy program aimed at improving social skills in youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
We will be using methodology and resources from the                                                                                  (SAS) program, an engaging new way to learn and grow social skills that children can take with them their whole lives.
SAS is a breakthrough program created by Australian clinical psychologist, Dr Renee Beaumont to improve social and emotional skills for children aged between 8 and 12.
The program is regarded as one of the best of its kind in the world and has been proven to effectively improve clinical delays in social and emotional functioning to that of clinically typical children.
The 9 week program will involve a 2 hour session on Saturdays, as well as the following resources:
  • Animated ‘secret agent’ computer game
  • Helpful Thought Missile action game
  • Challenger board game
  • Secret Message Transmission Device game
  • Parent workbook

After participating in these group sessions, your child will have gained important social and emotional tools as they graduate as a 'secret agent'. They will learn:

  • Emotion recognition
  • Emotion expression
  • Conversation and play techniques
  • Friendship problem-solving
  • How to deal with bullying
  • How to cope with change

What will it cost?
  • Each session will cost $130. Purchase  of resources will be at an extra cost but will be yours to keep
Will it be covered by Medicare?
  • If eligible, a portion of the program may be covered - with a valid Mental Health Care Plan from a GP or Paediatrician.
